georgia tech starting salary
What a difference a couple years make. I have been working for Georgia Tech for nearly 7 years and have seen an increase in my starting salary from $48,000 to $60,000.
It’s been interesting to watch this salary increase. I’m in my third year on the job and have seen my salary increase from about 50,000 to 50,000. It’s a lot more money to me, but if you’re making less than 50,000 a year, you might not be in any position to complain.
Georgia Tech began offering a very similar system of compensation to its own in 2000. You could get a job there as a teacher, a business administration major, a math major, a science major, a computer science major, or a business management major. A lot of the majors were considered the best, but a lot of them didn’t have the option to take a class from Georgia Tech.
The state of Georgia has had a policy in place since the late 80s that allowed a certain number of tech majors to take classes from the university. But in order to get into the system you had to live in the state for three years after you graduated and have worked for the company for that time. Its sort of like the benefits for living in a certain state are a prerequisite to being able to start a company there.
As a general rule, you will need some background in a particular area of your life to be able to start a company here.
The real thing seems to be that tech majors in general aren’t as good at engineering as they might sound, so it’s better to get into the job to stay at the company, where you aren’t necessarily in the tech industry, but not before you have a big promotion coming up.
It’s also a lot harder to start a company if you have a lot of “good” people, especially since the industry isnt as interesting as it’s been in the past, and you will need to be a bit more proactive about it.
The general tech salary is $60,000.
We are a small company that is looking to expand soon, but we are not a startup, so we are not looking for a 6 figure salary. We are looking for a good 6 figure salary but not a 6 figure salary at the company.
