A few months ago I spoke with a friend from Durham, NC, about her startup. We were both in a different time zone, she was in NY and I was in NC. We had a great conversation, and I’ve since returned to Durham to speak with a friend who is also in the startup space.

Although my friend lives in Durham, she’s actually in North Carolina and I’m in Durham. My friend is actually in the startup space, but she’s also a graphic designer. Her company, Durham Tech, is about connecting people by creating a community between people who are also entrepreneurs in the startup space. She’s a really nice person and she seemed really happy with the conversation we had.

I think the biggest takeaway from our conversation is that there are a lot of people in the startup space that have never lived outside of their local area. It might be that they are just looking for an excuse to move to a new place to get their companies up and running. They might be waiting to see if they can get a job here before making the move. But I think we could be wrong.

Durham was a bit more direct than a lot of people we’ve talked to have been. We were told that people in the startup world are used to taking risk, but we also heard that they haven’t actually done any of the things that they have said that they will do if they get a chance to leave and go, and that they might not actually know what they’re doing when they leave.

The two main main issues you might have to consider in deciding on your own are: How much time they have to make their move and how much risk they should take. One is that they might be in the “real” time, and the other is that they may not have the time to actually do it.

In a world where there are no more than 300 million people, you’re not likely to be in the real-time, so it might not be realistic to take the risk of leaving. For example, you might be in your house, but you might not be able to go out to eat or play with your dog, or to visit your friends or family, or to visit the local library.

They are one of the few tech companies that are actively working on creating a virtual reality for the internet. But how exactly do they do it? Well, they are actually working on it right now. They are also working on a VR camera that could be used to shoot video or still photos of your home.
